Position: Part Time and Full time
Location: Doral
We are looking for Forklift Operator who can work with an industrial vehicle to move pallets and heavy items from one place to another. This is generally done with a forklift or a hand truck. A Forklift Operator helps the flow of merchandise and/or goods throughout the business, whether it is stacking in a warehouse, loading a shipping container, trucks or anything else that requires pallets to be moved from point to point. Forklift Operators may also be required to prepare items to be moved and perform inventory tasks, such as scanning and filling orders. They help establish a safe working environment using proper techniques. A Forklift Operator should be alert, hard-working, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions from Supervisor. A successful Forklift Operator will need to have skills and be able to receive training for a certification. A certification is needed for the position too, as well as more specific skills they might need. The Candidates must be able to work different schedules, day or night shifts, part time or full time. Occasional extended hours and weekend hours may be necessary, especially around holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES ANS DUTIES
- Checking for damaged goods
- Staying aware of possible hazards
- Check and Report to a Supervisor regarding the maintenance of the forklift and other equipment
- Recording data about the products they are moving from point to point
- Scanning and inventory and maintain organized areas with count of pallet positions
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Education requirements (i.e. high school diploma, GED, etc.)
- Physical requirements
- Safety training certifications
- Years of experience in the field they are applying for
- Ability to operate powered industrial machinery
- They must be over the age of 18
